hogwarts_elite of course! This isn't even a question, really XD I love these people and the awesome times we've had over the years.

Coming in from out of nowhere (actually F!S before replies were frozen) to ask what exactly hogwarts_elite is. I see people advertise it a lot but I actually have no idea and have been given no insight on what exactly the point of it is.

But the picture of Voldie-Sandiego was life-scarring on the one post I could read. LMAO. Made my day despite the scarring of my mind.

I am so annoyed that thread got frozen, you don't even know. People shittalk us all the time, and any time someone tries to be like "Hey, no...." it gets fucking frozen. Argh.

That aside, it's a world of awesome. Basically you fill out the app (which is easy, despite what people always whine about) and then get sorted into a house. You'll always be a member of the house even if you're "dropped" from the community for not sorting enough people (which right now is 4 during a sorting period because no one's really applying >.>) which is the only required thing. There's contests in the subcomms, shops where you can get sigtags and icons and art, and general awesome conversation in the main comm.

haha, oh voldie sandiego. I have never wanted to rip my hair out so badly. That was from last Hogsmeade weekend (which is the last weekend of term, and it's 3 days of like a massive amount of contests crammed into nowhere near enough time, and like a 3 day long AIM chat where half the people are drunk and/or overtired). Basically it was a giant scavenger hunt created by a maniacal individual who wanted to see us all suffer. >.> Heh. (It was AWESOME)

Haha! I was sad it got frozen because I was replying to it when it got frozen. :(

So what kind of conversations would be going on? Is this a very active comm where you have to be around a lot? I was reading some other people's apps and being amused by them. It seems interesting, just trying to get a feel for it. I've never really jumped into the HP fandom or anything, just wrote some 'fics and sorta hide away in my own corner, you know, the usual for someone who read the books years too late. :P

haha what were you replying to/going to say? XD

Well lately it's "HEY LOOK AT THIS GIF/VIDEO/BLOGPOST GUISE!" but that's about it. It's not crazy busy, like, one post a day if that, at least in the main community itself. And really, as long as you sort the 4 apps, you don't have to be around for anything else if you don't want to. Back in it's heyday it was absolutely packed constantly with shit going on, and there were about 20 comms you had to join to be able to do everything, now it's much quieter and more chill. It's about 5 comms now.

I was just going to reply to whoever the first anon was to ask about the community and all that jazz. XD

Yeah, I would be late to every party ever, but that's okay I guess. I might have to give it a go after I have time to read through all the rules and stuff. It seems detailed responses for the apps is good! It sounds like fun and it might be nice to hang around some HP people. My f-list is mostly non-HP fans so I have nobody to ramble at about HP. Which is hilarious because that WOULD be my luck. =P

That said, thanks for answering my questions! I'll look into maybe apping! <3

Oh, haha, well you're asking the same person XD I was the first anon, but it being f!s I didn't want to post with my journal and deal with the asses in there.

being late to the party is totally okay XD We have members all over the place, so someone's always the last one to show up. Usually naked just to up the embarrassment factor. Detailed responses ARE good. But if you can do a short app and have it still show who you are, that's awesome too. It doesn't need to be like, an essay for every question. That and "don't be a dilhole while being sorted" are pretty much the two big ones. Having HP people around IS awesome. Half my friends list is probably from there haha.

No problem! You totally should, and if you do, tell them I sent you XD

Hahaha, I looked around to see who looked like they might me the OP and I thought it could be you! So I'm secretly ~a genius~ of course.

That said, I'm excited to try and answer questions. I like to answer random questions and I have to say the app questions are really thought-provoking. It's easy to tell I write fanfiction when the thought of giving long answers makes me go >:D! YES.

And I will do that! I will point all the fingers at you and tell them it's all your fault I showed up. <3

Yeah, apart from that I mostly tried to stay out of it because...well, you see what it turned into. heh.

O HAY, Voldie Sandiego culprit here :P

H_E is one of those things that you get out of it what you put into it. The only thing you *have* to do in order to be considered an active member of the comm is vote on the apps that drop, which usually takes a grand total of 15 minutes a week, if that. Everything else is totally optional... but it's a lot of fun. Contests, chats, just random screwiness - not remotely required, but it's the heart and soul of H_E. C'mon over and give it a shot. (First hit's free kid, WOOOO!) If you decide we suck, you can always flounce out and bitch about us on fandomsecrets. :P

So it was YOU!!! /points!

Well, I have to admit I'd enjoy having more people to talk to! My other fandom is pretty quiet these days (and small...tiny...ittybitty) so having a ton of random yet interesting people would definitely be fun. I'm having a blast just reading the applications.
